To tell you i loved everything about this wedding would be a huge understatement! If you have never checked out Birds Eye Cove it is  defenitely a must see, and a dream wedding location. Everything about the barn itself, to the unique out buildings, the wildlife roaming,to the beautiful lush grounds to the most lovely family and staff that work there. Annie was the most easy going bride, she trusted everything that i put together for her, and literally let me run with my ideas!  A dream come true for me. The day itself called for rain, but then the sun gods were in our favour, and the sun made it’s way out just in time for the ceremony! Annie’s decor was simplicity, meets rustic, meets organic. Subtle touches of pastel hues, touches of organic greens and  babys breath, an abundance of silver mercury candle votives and white lanterns filled the tables! It was a great day! My first chinese ceremony in a rustic setting, switching over to the western ceremony in mid day! Awesome!

I just loved everything about this wedding at the Best Western Oceanfront premier resort in sooke bc. Soft lavenders and purple palette mixed with gold sparkle for all the reception decor. Beautiful champagne curly willow sashes were the finishing touch in the ballroom reception. Champagne vintage chargers, gold mercury votives with the most beautiful lavender and ivory with lush green organic centerpieces from the lovely Platinum floral design.

When I first met with k & J I was so thrilled when I found out that they wanted to incorporate time travel into their decor. YES! Something different which is always a thrill for me! And their colour palette is mint with gold sparkle ( one of my fave colour combo’s) They are both huge fans of the show “Doctor Who” and any movie that is about time travel. The combination of the classic frock coats with the amazing time inspired table numbers and seating chart from Studio 745, beautiful fleurs from Platinum floral design along with the Hatley Castle venue made it for a timeless event. Vasia weddings captured it beautifully.

When Tina of Platinum floral design first asked to do a shoot with her and mentioned gold sparkle…. I WAS IN! Gold sparkle sequiin overlays, mixed in with candlelight and feathers. Need I say more … the blush dress with sparkle, and the blue vintage dishes was the perfect palette for a westcoast theme. Overlooking the ocean, eating smores on the beach. Amazing!
